The third meeting of 5G-SMART project took place in online mode on the 28th and 29th of April 2020. The project consortium mainly focused on the progress of the trials and the configuration of demos along 2020 and 2021.ย The project has also made substantial progress in time synchronization technologies for industrial applications. During the meeting, Dr. Christian Hofmann, responsible of RAN 3GPP standardization for 3GPP, gave an intersting overview of the Release 17 roadmap with respect to industrial applications.
Even in these troubled times of the Coronavirus, science continues to advance to improve our productivity and quality of life. The great efficiency of our online meeting is a clear sign that technique is always at the service of the well-being of people and the world in which we live.
